CTA Hosts Epic Event: Sip & Connect Fest

September 11th, 2015

Earlier this week, I attended the Colorado Technology Association’s Sip & Connect Fest featuring beer and spirit samples from some of Colorado’s top breweries and distilleries. This was by far one of the most entertaining networking events I have been to in a long time.

Located in the new Commons on Champa building (Denver’s public campus for entrepreneurship), the Sip & Connect event had over 500 people in attendance. Not only was it a great venue to network and connect, it was also great exposure for the breweries and distilleries that participated.

In addition to the passport program that encouraged attendees to stop by all of the stations, one sponsor, Neudesic, created a mobile tasting app that allowed us to rate the beers while displaying the results in real-time on screens at the event.

Some of my personal favorites were the Salted Caramel Porter from Former Future Brewing Company (their top seller) and the Koffee Kream Stout from Comrade Brewing Co.

This event was a win-win for me. Great networking combined with several opportunities for engagement and a perfect venue to showcase some of the best craft beers in town!
