In 2003, Christy founded Dahlia Public Relations, a boutique consulting firm specializing in results-oriented PR and corporate content programs. Prior to that, she served as the vice president of communications for Expanets (sold to Avaya in 2004). Earlier in her career, Christy worked for Qwest Communications International Inc. where she directed all corporate communications including PR, events and internal communications for Qwest’s software solutions subsidiary, Qwest Cyber Solutions. For Qwest’s corporate office, she managed strategic news announcements with partners including Microsoft, BellSouth and Cisco.
Christy gained experience early in her career at public relations and advertising agencies including Weber Shandwick Worldwide, Citigate Cunningham and The Haughey Group. During this time she carried out programs for global and national technology, healthcare and biotechnology organizations such as 3Com, IBM, Genzyme, Motorola, JD Edwards and Massachusetts General Hospital. Christy holds a bachelor’s degree in business marketing from the University of Rhode Island, and lives in Boulder, Colorado.
